Today I fixed a bug with the album module. When a user uploaded an image, the user information was lost. That's why the latest images do not have submitter information.
With the changes I did, this seems to be fixed, tested with two different accounts of mine. But something might go wrong. So if you have a different experience, please let me know.
Also, if anyone uploaded an image and this is not connected with their account, please let me know and I can fix it.
The album module is a plugin for this site that helps people upload and categorise images/photos/screenshots. There is an "Images" menu item on the left sidebar. From there, anyone can upload photos that would like to share with the rest of us.
That had some issues, which I managed to fix yesterday. But since I might have introduced more issues, I let people know with this thread, so that if anyone experiences something off, can inform me.
@Raziel - no, more to do with the fact that when I click to insert an image, I just get a dialog asking me for an image URL. To enter that, it needs to be hosted somewhere. I'm not aware of anything else.
[edit] OK, now I see it in the menu on the left. Hadn't explored that before.
Jokes aside, I am not sure what the benefit would be. I mean, for everyone to see the whole image, this will get squeezed based on their screen. If I am not mistaken, the majority are still using 1080p resolutions. But I do not have the data to prove it because we do not have a tracking code on this website, nor we have analytics that show this kind of information.
@everyone. If you guys also would like to be able to upload images bigger than 1920x1080, please let me know and I will see what I can do. I will have to consider the benefit vs the extra hard disk space in the server and the website performance.
Personally, I would like to see screenshots in their intended size, even its 4K. Back in the 2010s djrikki uploaded screenshots that were scaled "to keep you browser experience sane", which might've been true back then, but now they just look small and lacking detail.
