Congratulations and welcome to the club
Briefly about the hardware...2 years ago I started using Qemu and AmigaOs4.1 on my MacStudio M1 Max and later decided to use real hardware.
At that time I thought there won't be anything faster in the Amiga area on real hardware, because I had a very good experience with Qemu/AmigaOs4.1. Well obviously I was wrong
The X5000 is faster in all disciplines without exception.
I will give you one of many examples of this....
Under Qemu I have often used Quake TimeDemo as a benchmark comparison (software rendering) here I get 29FPS at a resolution of 1280x720x16Bit.
For comparison on the X5000 with the same resolution (software rendering) it is 59FPS, which seems to be almost twice as fast. Here you should not forget that no 3d acceleration is used yet.
I have been using the X5000 for 2 months now and can only say good things about it. Of course there are problems here too, but they seem to be software-related. For example, the device stops working sporadically when I move large files and only a hard reset helps. I haven't investigated this further yet and would like to set up my system again soon, as it contains many Enhancer components and I'm not sure whether this could be the cause of the problem.

Back at AmiWest 2014 I raised my hand when Trevor asked who in the room would buy an X5000. It has taken me 10 years to get around to it! Haha.
It is never too late to buy hardware as long as it is available. I'm pretty sure you'll be thrilled.
