What servers do i need to add except www.amigaosupdate.net update.amigaos.net and amiupdate.codebench.co.uk

I m trying to download newlib.library but i cant find it anywhere. Another question is how i configure amiupdate to save my username and password. Any idea?

Hmm, i have

Quote:
www.amiupdate.net
www.amiupdate/SdkServer
update.amigaos.net

To make your username/password permanent you need to create a file called "SiteList" in the directory where AmiUpdate resides.
The file entries should be
Quote:
username
password

and thats it...yes they are readable and *very* insecure...i was told that it "wasn't a problem", because "AmigaOS4 is far too obscure to be hacked"

famous last words, if you ask me

There are three (not just two) lines in the SiteList file for each server - server name, userid and password.

i only ever had the two lines and never a problem with any server

and how would you duplicate the SiteList file for three different servers while keeping the same name?

The latest version fixed a bug which should solve this. Once a successful connection is made to a server, it should save the details for you.

You don't, you put them in the same file. The first three lines for the first server, the next three lines for the next, and so on. At least that works here.

But maybe AmiUpdate is smart enough to let the server name line be optional?

Yes, it should be.

Of course you need to have registered OS4.1 Final Edition in your account on Hyperion's homepage in order to see updates.

Rigo's comment is as I recall.... You don't need to create the
SiteFile, just make the server entry and AmiUpdate will ask
you for the login and save it to the SiteFile for you.

Good luck,

Which Newlib.library version is installed on your system because you ask for it ?

I have the same problem, I can't find any AmigaOs4.1 X5000 Final.Iso after registration, the only thing I can download is the PreRelease version of AmigaOs4.1 for the X5000. However, my system was installed as FinalRelease including all updates.

Is there an AmigaOs4.1 FE ISO for the X5000?

Just to make sure, what version is your Amiupdate? This link is for v2.55 if you have an older version.

That is the X5000 FE version with update 1 already installed. There is no older version.
