Hi @bean

Regarding the scroll bars, they are not proportional yet. I've basically written a gadget and layout system from scratch and there is still much to do. BTW: This isn't the fault of FuZion - he wanted prop gadgets as well - I just ran out of time.@bean

I like it with the bugs, it's more like a feature! I'm playing with FxPaint2 and coming up chrystal and chrome for the skins.

Thanks guys!

Just noticed the phenomena (was present also in the 084 release, I was told that it is a known issue but I didn't found no public discussion on it):
If I start TuneNet and then AWeb, first online page GRs with DSI at bsdsocket.library, I can apparently continue ignoring the errors.

If I start AWeb first and then TuneNet, all seems well. Does anyone else experiences this with the latest Tunenet?

TIA,
Jack

I cannot find a way to delete one radio station from
the playlist, it seems there is only the option to
clear all the playlist.
It's this feature missing or am I that don't find it?

Thanks,
Paolo

Too late, mate, already covered
See post 43 and following

Funny that it still crashes for you, for me these strange
crashes are gone completely with this awesome new release.

Here it is a bit different:
no streaming playback, local files.
And order matters (TuneNet launched while AWeb is already up seems to work ok)

Returning form 10 minutes in the Land of 3-fingered salute (luckily AOS4 boot times are negligible):

http://ae-www.technion.ac.il/~jack/tmp/os4/
(here be dra-, err... crash logs)

Procedure:
launch tunenet (no playback) launch aweb: all seems to be well
quit aweb, play file, launch aweb: first or 2-nd site brings up the DSI

launch tunenet (with playback) launch aweb: first or 2-nd site brings up the DSI

The sites I reproduced this with:
1-st site: amigans.net main page, 2-nd site: os4depot or aw.net main pages

Tried files encoded with different encoders (mp3, encoded on AOS4/linux) - no discrimination

Edit: AWeb 3.5.09 28 May2007
TuneNet is the one in the thread subject
Edit2: no other apps are running.
Edit3: reproduced without wbstartup, only amidock was lauched manually
Edit4: the crashlogs are quite similar to those with an earlier (084.84) version that wewe referenced by Raziel couple of posts earlier in this thread except of here originatng in kernel and not in dos.library.

Hi bean!
TN Alpha rocks!
I have had TN Alpha running for 04:04:34, playing mp3's
and listening to shoutcasts, together with Wookiechat and
IBrowse2.4 running.
Great work!
I like the skin better than the one iTunes use;)

Not sure if it's the same in the new V86.32 Preview

But when your in the main standard Tunenet window In playlist mode go down to the Left hand side and find the little button with a > in it press that and then highlight and press Edit functions, highlight the item in the playlist and click the button to the right marked with an X.
This will only work when the playlist window tab is selected it does not work in the Internet radio window tab.
hope that makes sense

Unfortunately, this release does not fix the problem playing the 96kbps mp3 files encoded on a windows laptop.

never mind, I will have to re-encode them on OS4.

Another bit of info on AWeb DSI errors: it happened now with TuneNet started after AWeb
(Grim reaper report looks similar)

Hi Jack, sorry about the lack of a reply. I've been a bit ill over the last few days and my Amiga hasn't been switched on. I too have noticed a little problem with crashing and I will look into it. I have some ideas what it might be. Could you do a test and turn off the internet radio list to populate on startup, save the prefs, restart the whole machine and then retry your original tests.

Thanks,
Bean.

P.S. I'll get back to your mails soon and link to Curty's skinnable examples.

Swithed radio scan off, soft-rebooted, launched tunenet, started playback, launched aweb: browsing happyly
Looks like the bug is gonna be nailed soon.

Now I can enjoy this wonderful application

Finally i registered to amigans.

I just love skinable Tunenet. I have used it more and more.

I dont know where to see info on the songnames when playing radiostations from shoutcast. For some DJ sets i know they arent showing names of the tunes just the set. Where is the URL of the .pls. On ANR you could easily choose a radiostation and you could copy/paste the URL to give to friends. Now i have to go to shoutcast page to search for it. Or maybe its missing ? Able to search for radiostations like in ANR would be also cool.

I will give you money for the program later on. Have too much stuff to do for the moment :) Keep on updating it as its marvelous program.

First of all i would like to thank the whole TuneNet Team (i think which so many involved in TuneNet i can speak of you all as a team) for this great piece of Software.

But nothing is perfect (but i hope TuneNet will be ;) ) and i would like to see that i can control TuneNet over the NumPad of my keyboard like i can do this with Winamp.

7 = 10/20 sec. back, 8 = Volume up, 9 = 10/20 sec. forward
4 = Prev, 5 = Play, 6= Next
1 = i don't know 2 = Volume down, 3 = i don't know

and an media library would be cool but this is an whish i already spoked out in another TuneNet thread

Ei gude wie?

1x ?AOne-C (FX), 512MB RAM, OS4 Final July
1x A4000D EC030, 16MB Fast, OS3.1
