By select "non standard resolution" in VideoVortex you can choose
in Emotion Menu your prefered resolution. Dont now if it works
under Emulation.

@AmigaSociety
Thanks for showing VideoVortex :)

Thanks,
yes, in some videos it is possible to select the resolution as you showed me.
Unfortunately in emulation there are problems with the resolution change.
On the Emotion-player side ( now I will do some tests )

The Emotion interface disappears with qemu
While with WinUAE the DSI appears and crashes

Thanks a lot for the video.

What do you see when you close your eyes ?
I see light, lots of light
I see you, dad
And I see mommy too
And I see me and we are together
And we play forever.

I hope it will work for me since Emotion gives me an error window with
I/O Error, with all videos.

That shouldn't happen, if you are using the full version of Emotion they may try something else.

Start Emotion first and leave it open. Next start Video Vortex and play a video. If this works for you, I have further instructions to fix the problem.

Yeah, full version. Thanks for the tip but no luck.
Tried to (1) run Emotion then VV and click on video and (2) VV then Emotion and click on video. Twice the same I/O Error. Once I had a crash pointing to avformat2.library.
I reported I/O Error 3 years ago ;)

I thought I could help you as I had similar problems with Emotion at the beginning. For me it was an AmiSSL problem which caused Emotion to always give an I/O error when streaming.

In SYS:LIBS/AMISSL there were a few old libraries that led to conflicts with Emotion. My AmiSSL directory looks like this, you could compare it with yours and delete all unnecessary libs or create a backup, reboot your system and try again.

As a last chance, you can report your bug in the official Emotion bug tracker
