Through mac game sales? Mac game sales
Were pretty bad, amiga h2/shogo - while not as much
as anticipated- sold much much better.

As to the 1200ng board i found it a very interesting
project - and then i read it is only a pi3. Pistorm is
much better. Only advantage 1200ng got is to get
cost a bit down. And that you can use a a1200 with
Broken mb (as you will only need the case).

Should have been a pi5 IMHO.
THAT would have been interesting.

Pi3 with amiberry is a huge step backwards from
Cm4 with emu68.

I read in the news release that the ARM CPU board is removable due to future possible upgrades. This indicates that one might be able to put in a more powerful one in the future.

It's a backplane board for an R Pi 3 that fits into an A1200 case.

Isn't RPi3 a bit long in the tooth? I'd expect an RPi5 instead.

It's not an RPi but some Allwinner H618 board, probably this Orange Pi Zero 3.

The better Question what Board is exact on the 1200NG does the Organe Pi use the same Videocore GFX Chip as RPi4 becouse as soon the Warp3D PiStorm drivers are out there will be the world on fire (if they do not work on Organe Pi).

It seems OrangePi are some china Version of RPi what brings the next Question are the 1:1 to RPi4 ? I dont want a Orange Pi, i want a Rpi4 on the Board, will this be possible ? I dont want this Amibench something... i would prefer my full setup 512GB caffeine sdcard. working on the pi 100% stable here while amibench we better dont speak about...

Only way to get me on the Orange is if the Board support the OrangePi5 since rpi5 dont work on the pi

I read that you can install OS3.2 on the 600GS (by someone who actually did this, so it is NOT a rumor). As to different Pi AFAIK not possible right now. I let actually someone test Heretic2 on the 600GS and the fps rate was very bad (much worse than on PiStorm Pi3). I am wondering though if my tester had the emulator configured badly, as the hardware should be faster IMHO.

Orange Pi has I think not the same GFX Chip as RPi4.

Yes, that is true. I own such a system and it is very versatile. The A600GS supports setting up "full systems", so you can for example have a configuration with 68040 CPU (JIT) with RTG, Internet connection, 1 GB of Fast-RAM and AmigaOS 3.2. There are many who runs on 3.2 on it.

It is worth mentioning that AmiBench is often updated. AmigaKit works on optimizing it so that drivers can access the ARM directly, making it more efficient and faster. Hopefully this can make an impact on game performance in the future.

I have pre-ordered the A1200GS and will do a review on my blog once it is up and running.

Here is a video by iowtheme where he sets up AmigaOS 3.2, RTG etc. on the A1200NG.

why they did not support rpi? that is like "the standard" with hours of working and proof + we get soon USB and ethernet.

NO better take a cheap knowoff from china, not even a rPI5 or rpi4. nooo.. they take of course the rpi3 temu edition. they slowest of all.

Ok slowly i understand, becouse piStorm use the important Amiga chips like Paula and AGA, they could not fpga them. better stick to a full emulation!

why? there is even a c64 mainboard that let you stick orginal chips into the slots and people are happy with it.

here was the change to create "the Next Amiga" and they just miss it.

they had only to create a a1200 board with a buildin rPI4 or place for a rpi4. fpga the important chips and we all could use this boards as replace for real a1200 boards. that would preserve the a1200 for the future and destory ebay price barons.
no sir, i will stick with my a1200 pistorm !

Heretic2 works very playble under rpi4 would guess 25-30fps i did play already very deep into the game without trouble. But when the warp3d pistorm drivers will come and the full gpu will be supportet. it is like hell rising. i can already play "crash bandicoot" a playstation emulation on my amiga and that on software render.

im just sad, i wished so much that this board could replace my a1200 board, i connect my rpi4 and my sdcard and all works. special to have a emergency board when it dies, becouse i sell all my PC and my workflow are complete on my amiga. can do everything on my Miggy with this power. only telegram and youtube are missed but mobile phone do.

@interrogative

Have you found a place to buy the case/keyboard/etc? I would buy one of these boards, but I don't have an old Amiga 1200 to install it in.

@AmigaOldskooler

I had someone trying Heretic 2 on 600GS. It was extremely slow, so slow that I wondered "Is he doing something wrong ? The hardware should be faster" (what he reported was like 4-5x slower than PiStorm 3, but as both use a A53 CPU this makes no sense, even if Emu68 is faster). (And this is now NO try to make the system worse or anything because of preferring PiStorm - I am sincerely interested if it is possible to make my game run faster on this system, if it is really only a settings issue or something)

Any idea about that ? Maybe Emulation settings ? I could for example imagine a "limit to physical 68k clock frequency" setting could destroy speed.
