AmigaOS 4.1 Sound Prefs on X5000

Hello

I updated my system after using AmiUpdate and since 2 or 3 days my Sound prefs app doesn't open.It says "images directory is missing or invalid".

Any clues?

Yeah I see.

I just tried with the Enhancer CD 1.1 but no luck.I didn't see an Sound prefs util.

Any ideas?

The message about "images directory is missing or invalid" is definitely not coming from the original Sound Prefs in OS4. But the Enhancer replacement Sound Prefs does have such a thing. So you (or whoever set up your system) must have installed that at some point.

You can check where that program thinks it should find its images, by opening the Info requester of the Sound Prefs icon. There's a tooltype named GUIIMAGES. By default it is set as "GUIIMAGES=SYS:Prefs/Presets/SoundPrefs/Images". If that path doesn't exists on your system, or doesn't contain the correct image files, you'll most likely get such an error.

But when I enter that tooltype it doesn't seem to change nothing at all...

OK problem solved

Just copied from my AmigaOS 4.1 FE CD from Hyperion,the Sound Prefs and all does work again.
