The goal is to reach the highest score possible. Please post a screenshot of your high score below to participate (also note the computer you're playing on). The leader board will be updated regularly.
Note: As per config.txt you can edit the giana.config file to use a joystick.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to join this month’s challenge. I’ve tried getting Giana’s Return to run on my A1222, but unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck. It seems like there’s some kind of incompatibility with certain files the game needs to run properly. I’ve tried a few things, but no success so far.
SDL should be fairly up to date on my A1222 system. The first time I tried launching the game, I got an error related to SDL_mixer. I then downloaded the SDL_mixer version available on OS4Depot.
After that, I now get a new error when trying to launch the game:
"Unable to resolve symbol _gthread_active_P in system:SObjs/libstdc++.so"
The file libstdc++.so is present in the system:SObjs folder, so I’m not sure what’s missing. If its like some kind of compatibility issue, perhaps specific to the A1222 or the version of libstdc++?
I checked my libstdc++.so file, and the size is 14,237,714 bytes – so definitely not the same as yours. I'm a bit concerned that this might be a special SPE-optimized version for the A1222, as it came bundled with the USB stick for system recovery.
But of course, I'm happy to test your version. I’ll back up my current one and try yours for a short period while testing the game to see if I can get Giana’s Return running.
Also, if anyone can confirm whether my version is indeed SPE-optimized, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks a lot 328gts! I tested the libstdc++.so you sent me, and now Giana's Return runs great on my A1222! 😊 I made sure to back up my original libstdc++.so file just in case I run into issues with other software later. For now, I'll start getting familiar with the game and will post a score for the competition once I get some practice. Really appreciate your help!
