YES! The SAM440-Amiga is looking awesome from what I have seen in the news items on this website.
I will definately be the first in the queue to buy this hardware. A next generation Amiga is all that I currently dream of.
I applaud all efforts aimed at bringing a new next generation Amiga computer to the market and into the hands of the customers.

Yep, i am excited about it. Small little board, no fans, Clone-A in the FPGA, OS4.. Sounds good to me.

It would be nice if one could buy an A600 style case for this.

Yes it looks quite nice..

But (always a but) it depends on the price.

It should be under 400? including OS4 IMO. Over 500?
is a disaster. 300? could help Amiga make a comeback.
This of course including VAT.

We probably won't see prices anywhere near 300?
though.. Around 550? including OS4 and VAT is more
probable.

Regardless of what the price is, it'll be nice to see some new Amiga hardware. Having said that, I'm still hoping it'll be somewhere near affordable. :)

Hi EveryOne!!!!!

Oh, I don't know, but certainly the word "FUN" comes to mind about this product!

It's speed isn't high, but it's capabilities will FAR EXCEED what was imagined and DONE with the original Amiga HW, and isn't THAT what it's REALLY all about??!!!!!!!!!

ONLY AMIGA MAKES IT POSSIBLE!!!!!!!

Stir? I meant that in the friendliest of ways..

Atheist has mentioned several times on AW that he wanted
a site like this. So that's why I said this..

Hi Dirk-B,

I'm quite certain that samwel is glad to read an upbeat post, as opposed to some that we've had to put up with recently.

What he said, I believe he honestly meant, and I'm thrilled that it has come about.

Ok, sorry then.

It is just that i dont like that people always try to provoke Atheist.

He has just an other way of saying 'i love Amiga'.

Friends?

IIRC Max Tretene (Soft3) said their target price is something like 400? including OS4 which is not bad for a start.

@COBRA

Yes, that is true.

Lets take a new user here, if he would have to build an
light expanded system out of a classic Amiga with AOS 3.9
and a PPC-turbo board/card then i am sure that he will pay
much more then for a new system like the SAM440 with OS4.

I am verry happy with my A1SE-G3 with OS4 as it was almost
the perfect follow up of my A1260/G2 system with AOS 3.9.

I want to see new Amiga HW to get more people on board the AOS4 boat !
Personally I'm more interrested in a high-end board (Panda ?) to maybe "replace" my A1XE (Though I won't let that one go !...).
