A4000T PPC What's it worth?

Hi All,

I'm thinking of cleaning up my old A4000T and selling it as it's not doing much as present. Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what I should expect for it?

It's been a while since I've used it as it's still at my parents house in storage so I can't remember the exact specs but:

Amiga Technologies (Escom) A4000T with Cyberstorm 060/PPC
+ original 040 daughter board
Picasso IV
Catweasel

I'd add to this after I've picked it up over the weekend and checked it's all still in working order but any guides on value would be appreciated!

Stu

A PPC card for an A4000 will easily sell for around ?250 and upwards.

put it on ebay with a reserve minimum of ?200. As long as its in working order of course.

An A4000T with a CSPPC? ?200? You could be looking at 10x times in this market at the moment....

@swayton

if you put it on eBay you'll be looking at several hundred pounds - the CSPPC alone is worth probably about ?300-?400, the Picasso IV is a sought after card too.

I'd put a reserve of ?600 on it as it'll get more than that easily if you advertise it well enough. I wouldn't accept any less on a system like that.

A CSPPC costs *at least* 600?

A Picasso4 around 300?

Catweasel 50?

I saw a similar A4000T sell for 3000? on eBay...

Sorry, I was referring to the CSPPC board only, not the whole system. Yes, they do fetch staggering amounts if sold complete.

Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

So if he puts the cppc up alone for a ?700 and someone buys its for a ?700 then its worth ?700 to the person who bought it.

It might be worth ?250 to you but all you are doing by putting a value on it, is putting ideas in peoples head of how much its worth to you and then this sets the bar.

If people decide to sell their ppc boards for high prices, even more than what they paid for them, then good luck to them.

It will either sell or it wont and then the seller can lower the asking price i guess.

I guess its down to the seller to decide ultimatly what he thinks is a fair price to ask.

Heck everybody could use a bit more cash especially this time of year.

There is enough competition for them and the Highest bidder wins

Well, okay, I didn't mean that they will go for ?250 ukp, I actually meant to say that they start at ?250 ukp. But of course, with supply and demand factored in, it could go for a shedload more.
