@ssolie Totally agreeded I have some crappy sound with my Soundblaster 128. Has anybody some ideas? I am totally stuck with this thing!
Amiga 500 1MB Chip RAM with ACA 500+ACA1232,CD32,Amiga 1300 030/50 Mhz,32MB (now on my hands at least)and Amiga One G3 XE PPC 800 Mhz,ATI Radeon 9250 128 MB,256 MB RAM,Seagate 200 GB HD,2 working DVD drives,X-Arcade double for MAME,Sil0680,4 USB ports,LG
@MamePPCA1 Amiga One G3 PPC 800 Mhz Does your mobo have the SigmaTel chip/ aka AC-97 sound? I don't know about A1-G3s, but the AC-97 system and the SB-128 are about equally excellent (to me) on sound quality on the A1-XE/G4. ...I have some crappy sound with my Soundblaster 128... This kind of doesn't determine the problem =:o Can you describe a sound effect that annoys you listening?

Pffft. My AWE64 (with the SPDIF hookup from Hoontech) sounds perfectly fine. Even back in the days of the AWE32/64, those Emu-8000 DSP's could mix 30 channels stereo with reverb and chorus.
Though, my Gravis Ultrasound PNP (AMD interwave chip, 32 channels hardware) is still my favorite.
@Snuffy Yeah I think I have AC'97 sound installed on my A1. As for a sound that annoys me for example a bad played song on AmigaAMP or the bad music and sound of SCUMM. A "hello" may sound like: h?$%ee&)=?llooo546456oooo All mixed and very confusing. Hope this helps. Good luck you have with your Amiga One G4/933 Mhz

Hi@MamePPCA1 Yeah I think I have AC'97 sound installed on my A1. "I think " ? You have the chip or you don't have the SigmaTel chip ? Y/N only, please. If you have the same results using AC'97, then you may have some serious bus noise, OR you external hookup is leaking in noise. You have to 'unplug & play' this game! How about sending it Amiga Center for repair if can't figure it out!
I was fed up of the audio output from my SB Live!, plus it had an uncanny ability to freeze my system. So I ditched it for a Terratec 512i - never looked back.
