Hemm, I guess tried adjusting the display width on the monitor, most monitors have an option for scaling height and width and contrasts, brightness, and colour tone, if not throw the monitor out the window hoping does not hit any one on the head on its way down
Newer LCD screen often has option not to scale the image, what type of monitor do you have?

The effect you describe is also possible to do if you have a 1024x800x16 on IBrowse and 320x200x16 at screen mode on workbench, when workbench screen is dragged in front of 1024x800x16 screen it might look like that, you might try disabling the screen drag option in GUI prefs, to see if that helps.

I don't know why i have this problem because under amiga os 3.9 everything works fine
I have a LCD Philips.. 17''..
I try to a different installation selecting aga and then adding the voodoo monitors in "devs/monitors" i think that the problem is a setup problem on the installation process..
I solved the problem about the screen resolution..
The default installation checked in "prefs/screenmodes" the gadgets "height" e "width" resolution, these gadget were set up at 800x600 so all the resolution higher to 800x600 were streched to 800x600.. Checking the gadget " default" solved the problem..
I still have 2 problems ( all the same problem guess )
If i run AmigaInput or ShowConfig i get graphic corrupted in my workbench and it becomes unusable..
Everytime that i boot my amiga i get the workbench with graphic corrupted on the workbench' s title bar and on the top border of the windows..
Any hint ?
I tried to delete the screenmode.prefs file in sys:prefs/env-archive guessing that it may be corrupted..
I have the same problem - "graphic corrupted" effect in ShowConfig, AmigaInput, Partition Wizard (checking option) and Grim Reaper (when I use "Ignore DSI errors" option). I send report to Hyperion. Rogue look into it ASAP.
For partition wizard i solved the problem removing the italian catalog from "sys:locale/italiano" the program opens in window instead of its own screenmode and everything goes fine but the others problems are there..
Did you check the "Default" checkmarks in the Screenmode prefs? The screenmode file is auto-generated, so you need to check the "Default" checkmarks in the screenmode prefs program if you change the resolution. Unfortunately, I only noticed that after the manual was in print.
The two "Default" checkmarks are next to the width and height fields, below the list of screenmodes.
Edit: Okay, saw you did already find out yourself
Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.
I knew about that graphics corruption problem but I thought it only occurred when running a PCIScan or ShowConfig, so I didn't want to delay the release for that. Unfortunately, we didn't have many beta testers with Mediator 1200/Voodoo combination, so it went largely unnoticed. I'll try to find out what is wrong, and will try to get a fix out as soon as possible.

If i try to use for example 1024x768 i have the screen partially displayed on my monitor... all the monitor's screen is black and in the right top corner i have ( like a window ) the workbench screen...
Hello nubechecorre,
This is completely unhelpful, but, before I saw your Jpegs I thought that the "window" of AOS4.0 was much smaller, say 72*108 pixels, and was going to say that they perhaps sent accidentally the ultra top secret cellphone version of AOS4.x to you!
P.S. So glad to hear that the problem was solved. (But a few new ones are there. )
Hey Mikey_C, can this be applied to your microAmigaOne?
Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!! How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally. "Details for OS 5 will be made public in the fourth quarter of 2007, ..." - Bill McEwen Whoah!!! He spoke, a bit late.
Disaster. AOS.4 has turned up. Inserted boot floppy and CD was activated. Screen flashed some colours and then nothing else happend. In desperation resorted to the manual. Seems I have to disable the maprom feature. I cant't do this because the boot menu screen on the PPC isn't visible. I can sort of see something but the picture jumps like mad.
If pressing the " esc " key on the keyboard the ppc bootmenu doesn't appear correctly it means that you have setted it to 31Khz mode.. than you have to press during the boot the key "a" or " c" well i don't remember exactly i have to check but now i am at work.. if you press on of that key you reset the screenmode so you can set the maprom off..
If you can be patience until tonight when i back home and tell you which key to press..
To all amiga user, please read the manual carefull before installing amiga os it is different from the amiga one version.
Here the complete docs about the key to press during the boot
Quote:
o Key "2" disables the processor on an 1200 ONLY. o Key "s" pressed during booting disables the SCSI, cdrive, bootmenu, bootmenu settings. o Key "c" pressed during booting disables 31khz bootmonitor and cvppc support o Key "m" pressed during booting disables the memory o Key "a" pressed during booting disables all
o BootMenu which can be invoked by holding the Key <ESC> key during the system boot. (It may not work for weird tower pc-keyboard hacks)
Press " c " to disable the monitor or " a " to disable all
