File + readme upload?

Would it be possible to add this feature to OS4Depot, same as on Aminet?

I always use this when I upload stuff to Aminet as it's more convenient in my opinion.

Also I could then write a similar program to AminetReadme for OS4Depot readmes.

Ok, I'll add it to the todo list.

The point on os4depot however is that you don't have to maintain the whole readme file yourself. It was never the intention that there would be anything called a "readme file" that the user keeps locally as aminet does it. Just maintain the textual part and when replacing your file click the [replace file] link and update whatever needs to be updated. Which isn't any more work than maintaining all readme data fields yourself locally.
