Anyone from ANT (Amiga North Thames) here?

Hi.

Is anyone from ANT here on Amigaworld.net? My AmigaOne Micro died last week and I cannot seem to revive it. I was thinking that maybe I could bring it along to ANT at this week's meeting - does anyone come along who has some hardware expertise that might be able to have a look at it?

Hiya, there's a few of us that go to ANT which may be able to help - I'm still waiting to confirm I can make this Sunday but there are usually at least a couple of A1 experts that attend. And we've all experienced some kind of A1 near-death-experience so it's certainly worth you taking it along.

Come along, we'll have a look at it, Admittedly, the No.1 A1 expert is Rigo, but I don't think he's coming down this Sunday.

However, best if you PM him privately, to see what you can sort out. Alternatively, BEAN & RUDEI are very good on A1's too.

I too have a Micro A1, but as anyone will always tell you, I am no expert

You're welcome along though.

See you sunday maybe.

Pop along, I'm sure someone can help you in some way. If not, at least you can have a cup of tea and slice of Andy's nice cake.

Ooooh.. youre too kind young man...

I`ll bake the cake, as for fixing the A1 I dunno as I have more experence with classic hardware. I`ll bring my surgical kit.!!

So long as we lock Mickey C in the cupboard we should be fine...

Ok, I will PM Rigo and see if he is coming along, but will come up regardless of what happens.

I don't hold much hope for it though.

It booted fine when swapping out the DC-DC converter board. Luckily we had a small ATX power supply right next door, so that proved it nicely. It's up to Colin what direction he takes now, but DC-DC boards have been problematic in the past with uA1 boards. The Morex boards have turned out to be the most reliable.
