Hi,
i bought my first Amiga in 1987.
The Amiga1000 ... used ... 1400,- DeutschMark
So please forgive me my bad english, my native language is german.
I have no deep knowledge about coding, only some basics in assembler.
But thats long ago and its hard to refresh this knowledge.
(I have had a cerebral tumor in 2005 .. so its a little bit more harder than normal)
Some of my tools are available on the aminet.
HighGfx
Twinkick
Amithlon-Guide
On the other hand i play around with some electronics.
I build some nice upgrades for the Amiga1000.
take a look at my "playground" ...
This is my "Holzbrett" (pronounced "hold-s-bread") and means "wood board".
Here you can see (left hand) an A1000 (PiggyPack PAL-Agnus Rev.A) and (right hand) a PeeCee (sorry, its a Athlon 1GHz .. but i got it for free).
Starting on the left side, you will find the following parts:
- 1,76MB HD-Diskdrive
normal PeeCee Teac FD-235HF with prototype HD-FloppyFix (made by some other guys on a1k.org)
this is the first prototype that successfully supports the A1000
it can read/write/format in 1,76MB/1,44MB/880KB/720KB (FFS/OFS/CrossDOS-FAT)
Copyprotected games, various bootloaders and copytools are workin 100%.
There is also a testreport on AmigaFuture
- MultiVision2000-Flickerfixer
The flickerfixer is mounted on my selfmade B2000-compatible videoport, nearly all signals are coming from denise (3 signals are taken from the rgb-port)
- Kickstart/BootROM-switch
Selfmade Kickstart-Socket (512KB ROM) and BootROM made switchable for ROM-Mode and 100% retrofeeling
The selfmade-guide is on
www.a1k.org, if someone wants to translate it to english .. contact me!
- Interfaceorgy
mouseport -> ps/2-interface -> kvm-switch -> trackball
a1k-keyboard-port -> a2k-interface -> ps/2-interface -> kvm-switch -> keyboard
Denise -> MultiVision2000 -> kvm-switch -> monitor
peecee -> kvm-switch -> keyboard/trackball/monitor
the amiga is conected as "master" ... double hit on ctrl to change the system (amiga-peecee/peecee-amiga)
the win/menu-key is supported as "cycle trough screens" on the amiga side, but works only on kick2.x and up (simulates AMIGA-M) .. under Kick1.x you can only flip to the first screen, not back.
- peecee
AMD Athlon 1Ghz 128MB memory, GeForce2Pro, 10GB HDD, CD-ROM, Realtek 8139, onboardsound, Linux, WinXP & Amithlon
- onboard sound
speakerset modified to work with 12V from ATX-psu
speakerset is connected with the a1000, peecee and cd-rom (selfmade audiomixer)
- ATX-PSU
300 Watt ATX-PSU modified to power the peecee and the Amiga1000.
It is modified to generate the needed TICK-signal.
- wooden controlbox
main powerbutton / peecee-reset-button
amiga-power-led / peecee-hdd-led / peecee-power-led
internal peecee "biep" speaker
amiga-switches (left sided)
BootROM / KickROM - switch
extra amiga-power-switch (for amiga-shutdown/hw-testing/ without rebooting the complete system)
