Er, surely, it would be correct to say, KL french usergroup to be closed.

Or if you wish to retain the Headline, substitute LOST with lose.

And, if a person is closing down a usergroup, surely someone else can take over? Being the Chairman of Amiga North Thames usergroup, I am quite happy to know that if I drop dead tomorrow, the Usergroup will continue without me. (At least I'd like to think it would)

I read that as "I would be quite happy to drop dead tomorrow" which of course I would never wish on anyone, let alone our beloved Pikey_C!

http://www.amiga-ng.org/ is not a user group but a portal dedicated to french OS4 users.

As Murakami stated above, we are not speaking about a Usergroup here, but a web portal for french OS4 users. K-L was the maintener of this portal and he lost his interest in the recent times, so he decided to drop the portal and quit the Amiga.
Fortunately seeing our support to him and the interest in his portal he decided not to close it and not sell his A1 immediately.

Cool. Its always nice when people are made to feel appreciated and wanted. I am glad to hear he has decided to carry on a while longer.
Why not donate some cash for his server costs? It would be a huge motivation for him to know that people care.

There have been propositions about donation, but he said that the few bucks required to keep the portal online was not the problem. The problem was his motivation that has (almost) vanished...
...Maybe an OS4 update for his A1 would help him retreiving his motivation ?! (Ok at least I have tried )
