IRC Down too?????

I guess with Amigaworld.net down, we have lost IRC too? I can't connect.

I am getting severe withdrawal symptoms here!

EDIT: Apparently if you enter 129.241.210.41 as a server, you'll connect. I am on there and a few others.

The IRC network has several servers. The irc.amigaworld.net is not a specific server, it just redirects to one of our servers using a round robin list.

For example:

se2.amigaworld.net (mine)
no.amigaworld.net (nicomen)
us.amigaworld.net
fr.amigaworld.net (daveyd)

So if you always want to connect to a specific server. Use one of the ones in the list above instead of the irc.amigaworld.net one.

Right now the fr one is gone, which means that the us one is disconnected from the no and se2 ones so connect to either se2 or no directly.

Edit: It seems the amigaworld dns entries have been purged for some reason. You can use orgin.biz as an irc server to get into se2.amigaworld.net. I've also just added irc.amigans.net to my dns settings as a backup. It will however take some time for the irc.amigans.net dns entry to propagate to everyone.
