Hi all,
I am Merlin, one of the team that looks after Amibay, the new Amiga trading site that launched last Christmas to fill the void left when Amibench closed.
You can find us at
www.amibay.com (or .net, .co.uk or .org, we aren't fussy :))
We have nearly 400 members and have now expanded the site to cover other retro formats.
We also have a Recycle Bin, where members can offer items for just the costs of shipping. This area is off-limits to traders, so that they don't benefit from cheap hardware or software to sell on at a profit.
So, if you want an Amiga site run by sceners for sceners, pop in and take a look, you might like what you see!
Cheers
Merlin

@P4r4d0x No, it can't. And please don't try to sign up again under another name - you will be banned again as soon as we find out. On a lighter note: I do have a spare set of A1200 3.0 ROMs. If you want them they are yours for ?5.

@Snuffy Thanks, we have worked hard on the site and so far it's been well received. You can't see the Recycle Bin unless you are a member and one of the Mods or Admins grant access; this is how we keep traders away from offers of hardware that members should benefit from. Amibay is not here to supply the auction sites with cheap stuff, we are here to offer an alternative for sceners who are sick of traders driving prices up on the auction sites. @ p4r4d0x Sorry mate, it would not be appropriate to discuss your membership on here, so I won't. Nice to hear your A1200 project's nearly done though. My A600+ project has stalled due to work commitments but it will get finished eventually. I haven't got any spare A1200 ROMs but meega seems to have that covered for you. Cheers Merlin

@Mikey_C He really needs to calm down, hopefully once that's happened he will start to make a positive contribution to the site. Regards Merlin Edit: earlier comments removed and edited.

@Merlin & Mikey_C Hello. While I don't disagree with your sentiment let's not discuss individual users in public in this manner. @Merlin Sorry about the fuss in this thread. Please feel free to post a new forum post or even news item about your site.

@Merlin Amibay is a good alternative to ebay. I have sold a couple of items there recently. It is reassuring to sell to people who are identifiable as true amigans.

@orgin One of the site developers (Zetr0) was doing some minor editing work on the site. Clear your cookies and try again, it should be working now. Merlin
