I was wondering do they need more betatesters !
I have few questions to the dev team:
Quote:
Reworked Warp3D Radeon drivers with new functionality Is texture size limit removed now ?
Quote:
Improved Workbench functionality Is Workbench now multiscreen capable or do it have virtual desktops ? (So I can stop developing YetAnotherDesk any further unnecessarily.)

@All Great news (french traduction of the announce on Amiga-NG) but could we change the news since Amiga OS 4.1 in not yet out, it could lead to misunderstanding for some?

Nice work Hyperion team!! 4.1 sounds very nice indeed. Of course, the inevitable question... Can someone explain this a bit more for me: > New and improved DOS functionality ...... full 64 bit support ...... universal notification support ...... automatic expunge and reload of updated disk resources What does "full" 64-bit support mean? What does universal notification mean? Auto expunge and reload of resources - same idea. I can make an intelligent guess but someone must have some insight. Thanks

What does "full" 64-bit support mean? There are additional API functions for e.g. directory scanning and things like that that haven't been present in 4.0.
Quote:
What does universal notification mean? It means that file notification is also available on file systems that do not support them initially.
Quote:
Auto expunge and reload of resources - same idea. If you copy e.g. foo.library to libs:, and there is a foo.library already in memory, ramlib will notice that and automatically expunge the library in memory (unless, of course, it is still open).
Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

@Rogue Thanks for your speedy answers. All great features. The auto-expunge is very nice. I presume it required the improved notification system. These DOS updates alone would make a nice release. Cheers!
