A1 troubles after changing battery [solved]

See User information
Just changed the battery of my A1.

But it seems the uboot settings were wiped.

Every time I boot it says "Bus 0: ............" and prints a lot of dots. Takes a minute or so then I can enter the uboot menu.

I have a SII pci card where the drives are connected. I changed the boot device to SII Disk and it boots up OS4 just fine.

But how to I get rid of the "Bus 0: ......." thing?

Waiting a minute on that after every boot is quite annoying.

And also, what were the UBoot settings for changing IDE mode? I want to change it to UDMA again.

[Edit: Changed the IDE transfer mode settings in prefs/uboot. Couldn't find any setting to get rid of the "Bus 0: ....." though. Tried disabling onboard IDE but that didn't remove it.]

I have at least these:
ide=sii
sii0680ide_conf=???? ; 0=none, 1=hd, 2=cdrom
sii0680ide_xfer=???? ; 0-9, A-G, G=UDMA133
a1ide_conf=0000

I don't remember is this what you're possibly looking for but:
ide_maxbus=0

If you have no devices in the A1 internal IDE, try setting these U-Boot variables

setenv ide_maxbus 0
setenv a1ide_maxbus 0
saveenv

Ahh that did the trick, thanks!

Doing that changed the boot device list for some weird reason, but that was easy to change back.

I recommend that you keep a copy of UBoot Prefs setting on a USB drive.All the sii0680IDE device settings can't be remembered too quickly. In a shell just type --> nvgetvar -- and save the file output.
