Wanted Ctorrent Betatester[V2.3 out]

Can those of you who can't get it to work get in contact please. Tried to fix some dsi errors,and other minor changes. Need you to test for me.. Since it works nicely here.

Better or worse than last time???

changes so far since V1.1

-Rewritten the handling of the text output,hopefully gives no more DSI.
-Fixed a bug so the same text won't appear in the listbrowser several times.
-Fixed so you can press the mouse button in the listbrowser. This lead to system lockup.
-Ctorrent will hopefully not crash if the .torrent file is damaged or an empty one.
-Cancelling asl requester would crash ctorrent. Has been fixed.
-Listbrowser will scroll down when new text is added to show the latest action.
-Have removed deactivate of the text strings,replaced with readony tag. Makes it easier to read the text,

Been lazy for a long time now. But have a new beta for testing. So if you've had problems with the 1.1 version please let me know so i you can test the latest one so i might nail some more bugs. There are still several things i must fix before it can be released though!

Witj the last version, I had DSI errors at the start, but it worked after that.

Well.as for now you can't. I have disabled all options. When it's getting very stable i will start working on re implementing the options.

Edit: Got some DSI errors after selecting a torrent and it opens the gui. But you know that.

Anyone else or just my system bad for the moment ? Will check more tomorrow after reboot.

Get one as soon as I launch the proggy though.

Just a tiny update.

*Added iconification. If ctorrent is iconified when download is complete it will re open the window for you.

Not done anything with the famous dsi yet though!

Another tiny update.

*Had forgotten to add info on which port it listened to. Has now been added in the listbrowser.
*Added MAXDOWN tooltype.
*Added MAXUP tooltype. Set values in kb. MAXUP=50 .. Max download set to 50kb/s.
*Added LISTENPORT tooltype. LISTENPORT=2500 .. Listens on port 2500. Minimun 2106 and maximum 2706.

Check the tooltypes on the icon for examples.

Usual DSI nonsense that you know about.

The new features work well.
Helps greatly to IRC, surf and download when the limits are set in the tooltypes.

I have a dsi error at the beginning, just after the last info ("listening on 0.0.0.0:2701"). I can continue though.
I had no dsi errors with the previous update.
I have OS 4.1.

There is some mistakes with Maxdown and maxup.

My first test was Maxdown 300 and MAxup 8.
I had download speed to 8 and upload speed 200.

I decided to reverse the values.
I obtained 80 Kb in download and 96-120 Kb in up.

[EDIT]
I remark that when seeding I had .40 and .60 (for example) in download and upload speeds.
It seems wrong because on the torrent site, my upload rate was much bigger than 0.60.


Just a question.

As you use the last version of ctorrent, couldn't we choose download and upload speed at run time and not only before ctorrent starts ?
For the port, what does the program do if the chosen port is already taken ?
May be the tooltype should be a range and not only a value.
Don't forget that we must open the ports on the modem to speed up connections.
(I only open the ports from 2701 to 2709).
