Hi poweramiga!

This is great, they found 2 more bugs to eradicate!!!!....

This will be a TREMENDOUS advancement for AOS in our WWW viewing ability!!!!

Let's all hope that this will be a fast stable rock solid package that really demonstrates how to "do things right" to the others out there on other platforms.... (Me worried that it won't be??!!?!?!! Haahaahaahaahaa

What? Want proof? Okay, how many people did it take to program IBrowse, compared to, say, well, ANY of the other other platform WWW viewers out there?)

Please excuse my outrageous enthusiam, it's just that i KNOW that we CAN and DO do things better, otherwise, I'd be elsewhere!

(The other places don't need cheerleading, as they're ahead, just that, they don't know how good it COULD be!)

Next, Java (which is mostly open source now, n i c e) and CSS.

THEN, PPC native compile and just maybe somehow Altivec could be implemented, let's put those IC traces to the grindstone!!!

This is such exciting news for "the ded platform"!!!!!!

:banana!!!

(Or will the smilee code be :dance :dance :dance ? Hehe!!)

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

The 450 fixes were upto July 05, there have been a lot more since then!

Additionally a lot of issues that have been discovered under the latest OS4beta have also been addressed, which in turn leads to extra stability on the other platforms aswell.

Couldn't resist, a snippet on bugs from fvwm2 man pages (no pun intended):
Quote:

BUGS
As of fvwm 2.2 there were exactly 46.144 unidentified bugs. Identified bugs have mostly been fixed, though. Since then 12.25 bugs have been fixed. Assuming that there are at least 10 unidentified bugs for every identified one, that leaves us with 46.144 - 12.25 + 10 * 12.25 = 156.395 unidentified bugs. If we follow this to its logical conclusion we will have an infinite number of unidentified bugs before the number of bugs can start to diminish, at which point the program will be bug-free. Since this is a computer program infinity = 3.4028e+38 if you don't insist on double-precision. At the current rate of bug discovery we should expect to achieve this point in 4.27e+27 years. I guess I better plan on passing this thing on to my children....

Don't despair, keep on the good work

Jack

Hopefully we'll have to wait less than a year for 3.0..

I really want a CSS capable Amiga browser, a real Amiga browser... Not a bloated +10MB one.

IBrowse has the greatest UI other than Firefox 2.0 which has surpassed IBrowse IMO with the latest version. Any improvements in 2.4 and maybe 3.0 can only be for good.

Best Regards,

Harry
