What slim drive dvd for AmigaOS4.1 or SAM440ep in A1200 case?

I want to build a machine based on SAM motherboard ,and what slim drive DVD burner will be the best for AmigaOS4.1? What software is available for burning DVD?

Never used AmiDVD but Fryingpan is a great bit of software.

Any DVD burner should do.
Liteon drives seem to be popular.

What are you going to build the sam into?

Have anyone tried to build the sam into a laptop? Is that possible? Can see that there are a bounch of used laptops for sale for small penny.

Sam in A1200 case will be superb as well, what do you think? I need to see the board first, do some measurement and who knows...

I have no idea how they do with the battery,screen etc on an laptop since i've never opened one before. But only one way to find out,right?

How big is the a600 board? The sam is 17x17 i believe it was? If you try a laptop,use a old one,the new ones are to small in height.

If I had a money for sam440ep board I will try to fit this board to A1200 case and make it real Amiga.

Also you need some free time and money to buy all things. In my opinion it will be more Amiga feeling instead of another case.

SAM440ep board do not require fans too cool it down. Because it's not very hot to operate (I think it's not, you guys have it, so tell if I'm wrong).
However I don't know if it will be enough space to fit SAM440ep motherboard into the original Amiga 1200 case. The keyboard may be onthe way to fit picoPSU...

Anyway it will be nice to have SAM440ep board in original Amiga case isn't?
