Hi AmiCyniX,
How do reset Xtime/clock. It's so far off it's confusing me! Or, is it outlined in the guide?

@Snuffy

What is Xtime? Do you mean the clocks show in amiga X11 apps is wrong?

Timezones should be in sync:
14.AOS4.1:> getenv Cygnix/TZ
Asia/Jerusalem
14.AOS4.1:> getenv TZ
Asia/Jerusalem

and AOS should use TZ settings.
Here:
prefs/time->UTC is set to auto
prefs/timezone uses locale settings.

As long as timezone file is correct, the time should be fine (AOS comes with 2 timezone files here, one fo previous year and althpugh not being the latest, AOS picked it up till I spotted it and deleted the obsoletefile)

Yes, Cygnix's desktop time display.

New Shell process 4
4.AOS4.1:System> getenv cygnix/TZ
GMT5
I'm near Detroit Michigan and the zone is EST.

prefs/timezone uses locale settings.

That's it !!! Prefs/Locale not Prefs/Timezone. I forgot to set Locale after I made my install. It was defaulting to AmigaKit's frontyard!

As long as timezone file is correct, the time should be fine ...

I set Prefs/Locale 'TimeZone' tab and the CygnIX desktop time is correct now. Isn't that interesting!
