Asha DeVelder - R.I.P.

It's with great sadness that I have to inform the Amiga community the passing of Asha DeVelder on Jan 3, 2009. Many will remember her as moderator of the FidoNet International AMIGA Echo. She attended many of the early Amiwest shows in Sacramento, so some of you may have had the fortune to have meet her in person. She hosted a Sunday night irc chat every week for many years where friends could get together & enjoy each others company. I'm proud to say I was part of her World & she was part of mine.

I & many others will miss you sweetheart..

my condolences also. I remember Asha from early days when I could access Fidonet from Hairnett BBS. Like MikeyC says, another Amiga stalwart gone.

That's real sad to hear Ken. She was a charm to chat to on Sundays. I bet Irving , her hero, has to be devistated; my condolances.

Damn. I probably discussed just once with here but I'm sure she was a nice woman. Full of energy, always smiling.

For those who didn't know here, she was behind the red/yellow Phoenix logo of the Phoenixi Platform Consortium.

Goodbye Asha.

I have placed an album on Facebook, of pictures of her time with me here in Canada. This is the public URL, though Facebook members can get there directly through my page.
