AOC 22" LCD DVI 1680x1050

I know I should be in the office but I wondered off down to the tech store down the road and picked myself up one of these.

I do hope it works fine with the SAM.

Anyone had any experience with this brand?

btw, at 1680x1050 I certainly hope the SAM can run at that resolution without slowing down?

p.s. hate to say this but this is the first modern monitor I have ever brought.... well, I do have a 50" plasma but I won't run the SAM through that

if i can use 3.9 workbench 24 bit in 1680x1050 on my a4k with mediator and voodoo3 without no slowdown then u could probably use it on sam. lol

too bad the backdrops aren't in that resolution, might have to drag out ArtDept and rescale one...

What is the min resolution it can use? This could be a problem.

But other thans this, i have a Apple Cinema Display 20" and i use 1680x1050 without problem and it looks great.

Been playing with the lower modes @ 1440x900 at the moment at this stage not sure what is the min, shouldn't matter though in one respect, wouldn't a window of the relevant size open on the workbench anyway.

Do you run them through the DVI connection?

Also could you use it with the DVI-VGA adaptor and tell me if it works?
A French Amigan has some issues I would like to understand.

yes, this is a problem. resolutions like 320x200 or 320x240 through vga input are not supported anymore on my novita tv2205 as it seems. this will probably be the case for most lcds these days. pity i had to replace my formac crt, but it become so blurry, you cant even watch 1280x1024 for an hour. 1600x1200 doesnt even seems more detailed.-?)

My Acer X223w monitor (native res: 1680x1050) can do 320x200@75 without problems.

@salass00: i didnt found a mode set on voodoo to display that res in 60 or 75hz
