unable to resize windows and snapshot with keyboard shortcut on OS4.0

hello, I am new and have just installed OS4.0 on my BPPC A1200 AGA.
I have seen that is no more possible to resize and snapshot windows with keyboard shortcuts as I did in OS3.9. You just have to do it from menu.
How is that? Forgotten?
Is there a workaround?

We don't have any of the OS3.9 source code so some of the enhancements added to 3.1 have not been included in OS4.

Is it possible that the shortcuts you were using came from a third-party add-on that isn't supplied or doesn't work with OS4?

no, they are from plain OS3.9 installation, even before Boing Bags, it was:
right amiga +. = resize window
right amiga + t = snapshot all
I think they are in the rom update of OS3.9

I have found out that having 2 more shortcuts on the windows menu, was a feature of the italian localization on os3.9, in fact a plain english installation didn't had those 2 shortcuts.
seems now that os4.0 was developed on an english localized machine and so the shortcuts are missing :((
hope some one will be able to create a patch.

Translators should not add extra menu shortcuts to OS catalogs, and should always keep the shortcut keys unchanged from the English version. So better get used to the original keys (which I hope are the ones used in the Italian OS4 translation today).

BTW, RA + . is the shortcut for Window->Clean up by->Column; RA + T is unused. The two functions you mention do not have any standard shortcuts.

P.S. If you really want to invoke shortcutless WB menu items with a keypress, it can still be done: FKey in connection with an ARexx script addressing Workbench to invoke the menu item.

well, today I just did a 3.1 installation on an empty HD, actually as soon as I set the italian locale, some new shortcuts appear on the windows menu, so it is so old this matter, I will check on 3.0...
I understand what you said, but other Amigans herein Italy have found this lack disturbing, after all it has been years we are using these shortcuts....
I am wondering whether there is som workaround

yes, but can you give an example? I am not expert in amiga dos and less in arexx.
let say that I want to resize a window, how should I act ?

Create a script with the file below and run it with Fkey.

You can use the same method for other actions: ICONS.DELETE.....
