KCon: alternative for OS4.1?

Excuse my ignorance but is there any alternative out there besides KCon handler?

truely OS4.1 native would be my first choice

I installed this to catch my gcc information etc but it always GR when it exists... I remember I used to use CB handler in earlier versions of WB

All I want is something that can save out a buffer and perhaps a configurable buffer size (the default never seems to be enough)

Any ideas?

Perhaps it's time to look out for for a ansi c open source version of something

thanks for any thoughts on the matter!

running SAM+OS4.1

I don't use it myself, but I hear that KCon works just fine with OS 4.1.

There isn't anything native released yet.

I use KingCON update 1.7 (13.02.2004) with AmigaOS 4.1 on my MicroA1. In my case, I don't use it as a replacement for the normal AmigaShell program, although it seems to work quite well for that purpose. I use KingCON mainly to provide scrollable console windows for my ARexx programs.

Apparently KingCON update 1.8 is available from AmiKit. It can be downloaded from the download section. Not sure how much it costs.

KingCON update 1.7 (13.02.2004) was included on the AmigaOS 4.0 Developer Prerelease CD that came out for the MicroA1.

I use ViNCEd Version 3.73. It's not native OS4, but it seems to work fine, and has command line history, scrolling buffer, tab completion, etc.

I use Kingcon 1.8 as a shell replacement.

Though 68k it works perfectly on OS 4.x.
