Hyperion should join this site for obvious reasons (if they aren't already members) then they can keep us updated rather than battling it out with a load of MorphOS fanboys on AW.
exactly Outcast and they are to feel safe and sound here anyone dissing them will be dealt with swiftly :) when they are ready they can feel free to inform us of new info
Amiga is the heart and soul of computing nothing else comes close
Is having multi-monitor capability and TV input on screen (and video capture of it, ala Personal Video Recorder (PVR)) an OS level issue, or is it possible to have those done as a SW application, after the fact?
I can't really see the problem with AOS4.0 lacking anything in "this day and age" that SW applications after it's release cannot solve. That IS what computers do.
A.O.S., go kick some AOS!!!
This is quite an amazing achievement (delivering AOS4.0), that so few have achieved so much, while many also went and said "it's impossible", well, #### those Amigans, if they haven't gone and done it all over again!!!!!

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!! How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally. "Details for OS 5 will be made public in the fourth quarter of 2007, ..." - Bill McEwen Whoah!!! He spoke, a bit late.

I'm not sure what you are going for there but enhancements to overlay and multiple monitor support is possible on OS4.
This thread is about rumours of and AOS final being made available, so:

Would not being able to get 2 or more monitors running be a reason not to release AOS4.0, and does AOS4.0 keep it from being possible to use 2 monitors, and have PVR capability, or is this a situation that could be resolved by someone coding an application, after AOS4.0 is available as "done".

I'm saying AOS4.0 is good to go, as in, is there a rumour that it's "incomplete" as to what's needed in todays world, to do computing type stuff. Answer, no.

This is my usual cheering.

Well its lacking a decent browser for a start thats compatible with all sites.
There's still quite a few apps missing too.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing it (and I guess the things I am talking about are apps rather than the OS) but apps do make up a lion share otherwise you have an OS thats great for being an OS, and not much else.
