This wild ethernet card?

Maybe some of the abilities of the card can't be activated from an Amiga?

Support Amiga Fantasy cases!!!
How to program: 1. Start with lots and lots of 0's. 10. Add 1's, liberally.

@Atheist

Dunno really but from the installation instructions this is a requirement :

The PCI Slot must be Bus Mastering Capable

The install Guide doesn't suggest it's designed only for Windows

In you dreams man!
You would need this box to run it in to see that speed, let alone activate anything:

That box at the MicroCenter sells at almost $2000 USD.
I think the A1-XE would qualify as an Area 51 calamity!

Not to mention that the vast majority of the benchmarks show it makes little to no difference on FPS we are talking tenths of a frame. And people using the card couldn't tell the difference. Only time people found this card useful was running 3 or 4 torrents at the same time and still the difference wasn't great enough to warrant the price, you'd be better off having two $30 NIC's rather than that overpriced piece of crap.

I know my argument has little to do with it's application in an Amiga type system, but if it doesn't make a difference to a $2-3k machine I don't know why it would be useful in a AmigaOne or Sam.

It's just that, the description made it sound like a totally rad upgrade!

Especially with the mention of bypassing micro crop code.

It said 10 to 20% increase in FPS when used over the internet. That could be 3-6 or 6-12 FPS (based on 30 and 60 FPS), not bad for dealing with an internet hampered activity, and if ALL parties are using it....

No benchmarks by a third party have ever shown an increase that they claim. I mean it sounds cool but that's marketing for you, I feel bad for the people that get suckered into buying these.
