Brilliant! Home/End are working now, there's a shortcut for activating the URL field, there's a workaround for the lack of a "real" download feature ... there's certainly not a lot to complain about any more
Just tested the first ever verson of OWB for MorphOS on my dev system, and geuss what, it can DOWNLOAD.
But Hallo there, My Amiga system is my daily runner and daily used system.
WHEN will we have download support again? Is it just a matter f enabling a script? If So, do it for OWB3.8 please.
thankyou.

You have to ask Joerg not me I just report the news, but aniway, IMHO yours is the main question, download is the most important thing for a browser ...
I've got a DSI on window iconify(never happen with previous versions...)
the log:
Crash log for task "OWB" Generated by GrimReaper 52.7 Crash occured in module intuition.library.kmod at address 0x0159323C Type of crash: DSI (Data Storage Interrupt) exception
Nope not true, I had tried this before complaining ofcourse.
Just to make sure I tried it again fter your comment, all I get is html code, no Archive.
srec.lha is what I save it as. But no go here.

When you have the page full of "garbage", you do the "save as" trick. IT WORKS
I tried it with the samba base.lha file at OS4 Depot last night. It looked like it worked, but when I tried to unpack the lha file after download, it complained several times about inability to access data because of corruption in the file.
The same file subsequently downloaded with AWeb worked fine.
But I only tried it once with OWB, since it was getting really late at night. So it could have been a fluke. I'll give it another try soon.

OWB doesn't support downloads, it never did, and it's not planned to add support for downloads in OWB ( http://owb.sand-labs.org/pipermail/ow ... 2009-February/000986.html ). There is nothing in OWB which could be enabled, to add support for downloads I have to implement them in OWB myself, not only port some platform specific parts to AmigaOS.
Adding an ugly hack like Andrea did in the OWB Blastoise port would be very easy, but I wont do that in the current version, either I'll implement the downloads correctly (incl. the missing DownloadDelegate, etc. methods), or not at all.

I agree with Joerg that it should be implemented properly. but OWB does really need downloading to be my daily browser, that's why I wrote ClipDown. I makes it easy to download. Just use the popup menu to copy the link in to the clipboard, or hightlight the URL and press Right-Amiga+C then click the ClipDown button and it will download. Works great for me and has turned OWB into my main browser with Joerg recent additions.

That might be because the page had not completely loaded before you selected the "Save as" option.
Tired as I was, that's entirely possible, although I THOUGHT the progress bar was not showing.
At any rate, I got the Hyperion update files tonight with OWB 3.7 and it worked without a hitch.
I saw a comment in a thread over at AW about download problems if the file is too large. But I didn't go back there yet to see if there was any clarification about that.

I just tried it and my net banking finally works with OWB, it didn't work with any of the previous versions, so good stuff!
I'm also delighted to see that gif anims also work now.
However the default FONTHINTER still makes the fonts look blurry, I have to adjust the FONTHINTER tooltype to FONTHINTER=0 to make the fonts look nice and sharp, I think FONTHINTER=0 should be default.

While I agree that it should be done properly, in the meantime it would sure make it easier to add a simple 'Save Target As' option in the context menu which would bring up an ASL requester for saving. It would be nicer than having to load all the binary data into the page as garbage, every time somebody wants to save data.
the problem is that a lot of users could not download anything from sites like Megaupload or similar. With OWB you will never download anything from this sites with any version fo owb (OS4/AROS/MOS) because it use curl that doesn't support that kind of sites (except maybe hacking it a lot) So. Or the users accept the simply download or you will never have it into owb
