I managed to speed up protrekkr by quite a lot by making protrekkr only update it's display 25 times per second instead of 100 times and changing from window mode into fullscreen mode.
Now the "303 test.ptk" uses only about ~50% CPU when playing.
I've uploaded the program and source code to OS4Depot and Aminet.
Don't think the SAM can handle all channels playing, quite stuttery... but indeed load in any older 4 channel modules and it rocks nicely!
didn't take note of any cpu usage... will try and look again when I tinker some more...
but once into fullscreen with proper pointer active it's another world
very nice...
In real turns how does this compare to whats available for the professional these days? Someone in the family sequences for a real job and works with real artists, should I show them or wait for a real application?
He's recently become quite interested in retro sounds so supplied him with a heap of old Amiga Modules etc...
