Btw 53.11 is up now. Things that open external programs should work better now. Forgot to change some options in the icon.

i found a little issue.
for the rmb to work on files the file has to be marked, seems wrong to me. it should work even if the file ain't marked.

Yeah I'll look into that when I add the popup menu. If it should get marked or handled internally somehow.

I tried it; not bad. The white window background is too 'noisey' for my eyes.

53.12, minor update. Working on some base code that won't make much difference until it's done.

too bad

Read readme

FKey seems not to support "mouse double-click on workbench" to open a new filer window without an extra key.

For the future release is it possible to make it more similar to the actual workbench GUI ?
Seeying the grabs it remind me the Directory Opus interface

Maybe later you can take a look of what is being done on AROS's Wanderer, expecially about the input field where we manage the directory paths

For the rest it looks cool, we really need a project like that, Workbench it's really outdated right now

There's Tunenet started from the filer with a module I selected. And you can see the configuration file for it in the background.

looks very nice, very dopus like ! I like it.
help bubbles are handy and packed files are opened through unarc.

one pb with copying file : the copy window does not reflect the status although the copy process is working.
move and/or stretch the copy window and the percent of copy will increase !

is there a plan to use keyboard selection (press B to jump to files started with B) ?

nice work and wish much success to the team !

That's just some test code that made it to the release archive. The copy/move buttons in the interface won't work until I implement source/destination. To copy/move files you have to use the menu or ramiga+c -> ramiga+v

"is there a plan to use keyboard selection (press B to jump to files started with B) ?"

Interesting feature, I'll add it to the todo list and we'll see what happens down the line.

53.13 up with user button support. The user buttons may not work in 4.0 though.

Edit: I've added fallback functions for 4.0 users so that the user buttons work for them too. You can get a separate binary here. 53.14 will have this built in as well.

Nice set of user app buttons! Anything like F. Wilkin's 'Script Launcher'? Or, are the buttons just short cuts to the file?

See User information
@Snuffy

They are diropus style user buttons, you assign a command to it that can contain tags. Example command:

NotePad {f}

When clicking the button the Filer will open NotePad with the first selected entry.

Another example:

touch {s}{Rs}

When clicking the button the Filer will open a requester asking for a string ({Rs}) and then execute the touch command with the current path ({s}) plus the entered string. ie: touch ram:myfile.txt (replace ram: with the current path and myfile.txt with the entered string)

The readme file in the archive contains information about available tags. The command can be any program in the file system, just remember to add the path to it if it's not in the system path. Ex: "dh1:tunenet/tunenet {f}"
