I've ordered a wireless card for my A1 on Thursday afternoon. Today, on early Monday morning, the postman woke me up with a parcel from UK!!

Big thanks to Amigakit.com! I am writing this using my wireless card now

I've been considering doing this since I moved house, was it easy to set-up?

What kind of encryption does it use?

Rude!

No, it was not very easy to set up (for me). I entered all the data correctly but it refused to work. Then I disabled some option, enabled it again and suddenly it works... Anyway it uses GUI for all the settings so it's fine.

It is able to use WEP encryption. I think that with combination with router's MAC filtering it is safe enough.

If you are going to be updating your installation CD, you might want to look at updating your Wireless Prefs program:

One thing it really misses, that would greatly help with 'debugging' a non-working connection, is for the Prefs program to remember the WEP key & SSID that you entered last time. This should be trivial to add, because they can just be stored in some EnvArc variables - it shouldn't be more than 4 extra lines of code IMHO. (Would do it myself, but I don't need it, and I'm not familiar with the language used.)
