On the other hand doing that you'll miss any error message that the TCP/IP stack might give you in case of network problem... That's something to note and remember in case of future booting problems that you might have...

Yes, as was the other Sam440 that had the same occasional problem. But I put it down to the router and/or some other PC on the network (I don't get it at home).
