Hi.
Does anyone know if it's possible to detect errors/defects on blank or burned CDs and DVDs, using an Amiga?
For magnetic medias, there are tools for this job like HDInstTools for checking an unformatted HD and DiskSalv/DiskValid/SFSCheck for checking FFS/PFS/SFS partitions.
If there aren't any tools for optical medias, is there another method that will allow me to do this?

@Amigamancer

Not that this will actually help but if something in the day was vital to me I'd copy the entire contents to a harddrive partition... something won't copy if it has a read/write error...

In the instance it is a music cd or movie dvd... simply play the media through...

In my experience errors if any are very rare usually it is a case of burning too quickly or a buggy setup...

btw, do not use cheap media that is a risk you go with...
