I am using 7-zip from http://www.7-zip.org/

Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

@tfrieden

I have done an extra new boot partition and installed OS4 on to that.

Seems that my programmes are still working so far, well infact
they work better now.

Maybe i will have to update my user-startup with some assigns.

Thanks for this huge work you guys have done.

I am having trouble accessing the lha archive.

I couldn't unarchive the LHA file with WinRAR. It does the job but the iso file is truncated.
I had to use UAE and a real LHA

Yes guys, check you all are booting from CD for the installation process. You can see it because kickstart loading is slower.

I did all mine on A1,
-just unarc into ram
-open makecd
-go to 'edit' pull down menu
-click on 'append image file(s)'
-load iso image that's in ram into makecd
-click on 'write' button
-make sure to fix cd for it to work

that's it

@All,

I believe I found my problem... It failed at 38% while trying to copy the Prefs/Presets... When trying to copy this folder manually, it says: Object in use ! I closed everything I could just before starting the install...
I will try to boot from the AOS4_Upd4 CD, and then run this Install from there...

PS: I'm doing an update instead of a fresh install...

@EVERYONE

READ the readme file it's what it's there for.

For the impatient:
1) MAKE A BACKUP! This CD does not support upgrading your system, you need to reinstall. Make a backup of all your files.

There is a reason for this (many actually), too much stuff has changed to allow an update, if you still wantto update prepare for a borked install with obsolete files, duplicate programs with the old ones no longer working etc.

@All,

Install finish. After a bit of playing aruond (and a few libraries loaded on top like render.library, threads.library, jpeg.library, etc...), everything seems to be working far better and faster than before !

Though so far, I have one problem... SGrab always return not enough memory (with 512 MB, nothing "extra" loaded... showing over 400 MB free on the title bar)...

@Severin

It works now...
When I first tried it I had the same message, but in fact it was after trying to launch the previous version... Meaning that somehow, it must have launch the old one though I clicked on the new icon... Then it wasn't in "executable+script" mode...

Anyway. Now it's working and I just uploaded a screenshot which might appear shortly... So I think I will soon be going to bed !
