Just to let you know the UK company www.pcupgrade.co.uk haven't got any of the HD2400 in PCI at the moment I ordered one for next day delivery, when it didn't turn up I gave them a call. They said that they had been sent all PCIe cards by mistake and wouldn't have any PCI ones until the end of the month at the earliest. I got them to give me a refund and ordered one from an ebay seller instead. Which was cheaper as it happens. I'll see how I get on with this seller before recommending them to anybody else. I've also got an X1300 & an X1550 coming from abroad seeing as the prices weren't too bad. Thought I might as well test them all in my PegII, I might get lucky with one of them. Not holding my breath though. Lucky I've got a plan B (and C)

I've started a thread specifically about basic startup issues. Check your UBoot version.
@splurge
Seeing as you have a SAM-flex, your version of UBoot should already support initialization of multiple cards. I'm not sure what the issue is. Try contacting ACube, and if you do find a solution, post it here.
@Ruud
That's a pity. I'll leave the link up on my website anyway, since they say that they are getting them in. Plus, it was pretty hard to find any shop in Europe selling them.
I would like to thank those who have signed up as beta testers already. Almost everyone has HD 2400 cards though, which is understandable since people are buying these cards new, and want to get the best that they can. However, I hope that I can get a few more X1000 series testers.
Everyone who signed up for beta testing should receive an email soon. However, my email server reported that two emails couldn't be delivered because it was unable to connect to the destination mail server. If you don't receive an email within the next day or two, please contact me.

As mentioned before I've got both an X1300 and a X1550 on it's way as well as the HD2400 I mentioned in my sign up details. I can always test mostly with those rather than with the HD2400 if that helps.

If anyone in the UK wants a card but doesn't want to order one from abroad, I'm happy to source some and sell them at cost. Seeing as Hans needs more X1000 series testers it would make sense to get some of those rather than HD2400s. Anyone interested can pm me.

Well, I've just got mine from www.pcupgrade.co.uk and it is the correct PCI card I ordered.
I've plugged in in my Sam440ep Psile case and... black screen! Not even a simple flashing cursor!
Tried every kind of configuration: - both onboard video card and PCI HD 2400 attached via DVI, then VGA - only the onboard via DVI, then VGA - only the PCI HD 2400 via DVI, then VGA
My configuration: - Sam440ep 512Mb RAM with soldered radeon chip - UBoot 1.3.1 - HD 80Gb - Psile case with AC adapter 19v 7.89 A - PowerColor HD 2400 256Mb PCI
I think the AC adaptor is not enough powerful... advices?
I've just taken a look in my Amiga case with a view to fitting the HD2400 and I can't see how it'll fit as the card length would result in the SATA ports being unusable, which would present problems.....
Will save the HD2400 for when I get a SAM Flex (which won't happen until a) the 800Mhz are back in stock and b) the problems with SAM Flex's I'd read so much about are sorted).
Sold up all my Amiga gear, not only an Amigan via Amiga Forever!
The card you've received, is it full or half height? I ordered the full height one. Which they then said they didn't have. I thought from looking at their website they also did a half height version but the chap on the phone didn't seem to really understand what I wanted. He twice offered me an alternative NVidia card despite me explaining it had to be a particular ATI card so I asked for a refund.

You've already got the latest UBoot, so trying a bigger power supply might be worth it. If you have a second computer and null-modem serial cable, you could also check if UBoot outputs anything.
BTW, do you see any output on the other graphics card?
If you find a solution, please post it in this thread.
I have the same setup as you and i get nothing on the sam. The machine won't even boot when i set in the pci card. When i remove the gfx card it boots straight away. Even tried the psu from the A1SE,but the same result. Strange......

Please post your details and issues here. Testers that succeed in getting it to start up, please also post in the same thread.
It would also help if someone had a serial cable and could record anything that the SAM, in particular, spits out at early boot. I'll be writing a quick guide on getting OS 4 to output to serial on startup soon.
