Prometheus "No Bus Master Capable" ...
Just popping in
Just popping in

See User information
Hi all,

at the moment I have found online the version 1.0b6 (11.03.2005) of openpci_8139.device (It requires openpci.library 2.0 and prometheus.library 2.x)
(I use prometheus.library 2.5).

OK.

Problem:
I run the wizard of TCP/IP stack Genesis of OS 3.9, I select openpci_8139.device and its config file (autonegociaton), then I see this requester :

"openpci_8139.device No Bus Master Capable"

ideas ??
My Prometheus daughterboard card, need PCI Bus mastering and DMA to use OpenPCI driver ?

this my log, using openpciinfo:

OpenPciInfo v1.5 12.03.2005 by Titan

openpci.library v2.0 opened

@divina

the DMA update hasn't come out (yet) for Prometheus. Hopefully it will one day soon...

@divina

you can't do anything about it. i had one, once, and the only thing i manage to make work
(after a month of e-mail convartations with Filip from Matay)
was a voodoo 3 vga card.
and i mean that we made a lot of testing in tones of audio, lan, usb and vga cards.
