Some features I'd like AmiDock to have in it's next update:
1. Scalable icons. With these options - Able to define a width and/or height for alla icons in a docky. - Icons that scale to the size of the docky and not the other way around.
2. An option for popup text instead of icon text. - If you hover the mouse over an icon and the icon label text isn't activated a popup opens up displaying the icon label text.
3. And the ability to define sub groups within a docky that can be individially right/center/middle justified within the docky. Alternatively a 'separator' dockie that can be used as a filler that fills up an empty space where it is put and all icons to the left are pushed toward the left docky border and the icons to the right are pushed toward the right docky border.
4. Ability to have a soft, transparent border and not just a one pixel border. (Bit like the amigans.net christmas theme top banner border)
If an App icon does not have a name underneath it, but your icons do, Let the app icon use that spare space rather than leave it blank.
And, the ability to open the directories of Hidden devices that are held in the Dock. Drop a Disk icon in AmiDock, then hide that device using Prefs/Workbench & now try & open the window. D'OH!
The ability for an icon to be replaced by the apps Docky.
eg. Rather than having both an icon for TuneNet & it's interactive Docky, the Docky replaces the icon so it's only shown once.
And (This one's probably down to the application itself though), when an application is runnng, a right click on it's AmiDock icon to hold functions specific to that app.
A fix to get rid of the "drawn-thru effect" on subdocks that are covered by other windows
Reproduce: Place a window at a position where a subdock will open. Now, the subdock is "Always in background" so it will be drawn behind the window, but if one drags away the window the part (of the window) that was covering the subdock is "drawn-thru" onto the background of the subdock (leaving the icons untouched)
Happens here with "Transparent Picture (color keying) and transparency" at a transparency of 70%, with the subdock being "Icon type", "Horizontal", "Always in background", "Locked", "Tiny", "None" (Icon Names), "Centered" (Icons), no Drag Bar and No Border
