I've been trying to update the SDK via uprough 8080 for the last 3 days... but it just won't work...

Wasn't that long ago that it announced it was back online? (didn't know it went offline) just recently did a fresh install (not too sure why ;) )

I checked the news item to see if anything had been changed on either server etc... everything works as it should and items outside uprough will come down etc...

can anyone enlighten me? thanks

The tooltypes are working fine otherwise it wouldn't tell me there are updates etc?

I haven't touched the tooltypes since I set it for development as well as main stream... and it always worked just fine...

when it goes to retrieve the first to last update for sdk it just fails trying to connect with roughup port 8080... for ALL development files...

for completeness sake

in tooltypes:

SERVER www.amiupdate.net/SdkServer|www.amiupdate.net

ok i get what you mean. here i already download latest sdk updates
so now it can't find something new.
just a point about tooltypes. (os4.1 @ pegasos2 if it means anything)
in the tooltypes is writen:

SERVER=www.amiupdate.net/SdkServer

and nothing else.

A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.2.2 | A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.2.2/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.FE | PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.FE/MorphOS 3.17

Slayers tooltypes are correctly configured to use the SDK and the public databases.

@Slayer
The actual SDK database is hosted in the same location as the others, while the files are hosted on SpotUps machine .

The fact that the downloads are failing simply means the host cannot be found for some reason. Maybe the server is down, or has a routing issue. It's not AmiUpdates fault in any case, it's doing exactly what it should.

The AmiUpdate team cannot be help responsible for dependant servers, the same would be true if the os4depot links no longer worked.

I would suggest an email to SpotUp directly to try and resolve this issue.

Yes, I thought of that later perhaps I should have titled the thread uprough unreachable...

I was wondering what was going on because it was so recent after the announcement things were back online... I assumed incorrectly someone was montoring it regularly

I'll email Spot and retitle

i had restarted the server, and the scripts that starts the web service didn't have the x flag set. i have fixed that now and the server is running again, sorry for the inconvenience!
