OWB 3.18

PS Was only my impression or OWB 3.18 was a biot faster than previous?

Had a strange problem with this new version. It would load a web page fine, then do a refresh to a blank page right after, like it loaded the site twice.
Tracked it down to my GUI prefs options settings. I had "Gadget redraw method" set to "With clear". Setting it to "Without clear" solved the problem. Never had this problem with prior versions.

Was informed by a developer to use "Smart", "Without clear", & "force" off.

Another OWB bug I often get is that the toolbar buttons (and address bar) stop responding to clicks, almost as if it thinks I am clicking on the web page. I have to quit & restart OWB when that happens.

Oh, and *another* bug is that the Bookmarks window stops responding to double-clicks, so I can't open any bookmarks. I have to close & reopen it's window.

P.S. I am using OWB's built-in bookmark manager. Did not like the 3rd-party ones I tried.

I got that error messagge:

Loading http://s5.travian.it/dorf1.php failed.
Failure when receiving data from the peer


The site wasnt important(I got the error randomly), but I never got that messagge with pre 3.17 OWB versions...
Any idea on why?

Another thing I Got was a bad DSI(Urecoverable most times) when I iconify OWB...

Is it possible to use the fonts that is used by IE or Mozilla with OWB ?

Just install the true type fonts (.ttf) whit the "type manager"

Already installed TTF including Verdana, Arial e.t.c.
But IE's or Mozilla's fonts look more clear than OWB.

Does anyone have a list of TT fonts that IE7 and Mozilla uses as default ?

I think OWB can show you what fonts is missing or it can't load.

do you plan to enable support for embedded fonts in the amiga port of owb?
owb seems to support it, but not the amiga version.

the reason i ask is because i will launch an amiga related site soon that needs
this feature, and currently no amiga browser is up to the task.

the site is somewhat related to fonts, in a way. that's why.

Nice to see that uploads work again!

One thing that is a bit annoying is that OWB is notoriously bad at handling low memory situations. I had a few tabs open, resized the window and noticed a hickup due to swapping when I ran out of memory. That was handled well.

Later (having forgot about the low memory) I opened a new tab and loaded a new page and OWB crashed without recovery. (DSI, then ISI)

Thinking about it, the system should have swapped out other stuff first before declining OWBs memory request. But bootom line is it crashed. Might not have been because of the low memory, don't know...

Correction, the image uploads, but the browser shows a streaming error.

Send failed since rewinding of the data stream failed
