Changed CPU fan!!!! :)

Phew, that was Sh*t Scary stuff,
I changed the CPU fan on my A1 XE to a shiny new Zalman VF900.
Its superb, quiet and cool all an A1 could ask for.
Good too that I now know that I have a 933MHZ version of the G4 (XPC7455RX933PC).

Did have a little fright tho, put the machine back together, (prayed) then switched on and got nothing!!!
A black screen and HD light on, pressed reset button and she fired up.

All in all it went smooth, but I wouldnt recommend to people with heart prob!! :)

it'll run @1000mhz nicely then v core 1.79v @1000mhz mine been @ 1000mhz 3 years nearly now :)

Its still at original settings, Im not gonna mess anymore at the moment!!! That was scary enough. :-O
I had to get hold of two tiny nuts(lol) bought a kit from maplins for ?2,
I used Articlean to remove the old paste and Artic Silver 5 and so far so good.

I was crapping all the way through doing it, but it gives me peace of mind now. The old heatsink was pathetic.
So as you said ill have to get back to programming.
Have been fidling mostly over christmas ill get back into it soon promise!
