I had issues with my HD2400 with the Flex not recognizing it, but I am starting to think its the card with the problem. I have an X1300 on the way to help on that front.
SAM440Flex 800MHz 1GB, Radeon 9250 128MB, OS4.1 A3000D/040 24MB OS3.9, Prometheus/Ethernet/Voodoo A1200/030 128MB, 20GB OS3.9, Indivision! A2500 Toasterfied A4000 back from the dead.
Hi! all I have my SAM FLEX 800 with a genuine ATI 1550 512M PCI up and running off vga after a few minor probs. will post a detailed account tomorrow night on Hans website when I have more time, one thing I will quickly say is It would not boot with 1 gig mem remove one module and your card should boot also I had to edit the Kicklayout myself as install script froze at 83% no big deal has anyone else come across this? I thought it could be because I was running a 9800 and the script was looking for the new graphics card maybe Hans can throw some light on this. cheers.

I'm surprised with this. The install script doesn't look for a graphics card at all (it doesn't need to), and updating the kicklayout is a really trivial operation.
Hans
EDIT: Please remember to add your card to the cards that work list.
@Hans It looks like SAM 440 ep users are out of luck for now
As I own an HD 2440 I really do hope that ACube will not take too long in upgrading both our Sam440ep bios (and will finalize the OS4.1). Hurry up ACube and tell us something!
Compositing for R5xx chipsets is done. This is a big milestone since this means that R5xx based cards (i.e., Radeon X1000) series have full 2D hardware acceleration.
thats great... hope to se suport for the radion 4350. 1 giga of ram on it. wow
I have a Radeon HD 4350, and the framebuffer works on a VGA screen so far. The R700 series chips are similar to the R600 series. I'm hoping that they're similar enough that they can share the same blitter code.

hmm opengl 3.0 is that a big step. some one told me that the pc world was at opengl 8 or something
OpenGL 8 doesn't exist. The most recent version of the specification is OpenGL 3.2. It's going to be quite a bit of work to get OpenGL 3.
The server hosting my website appears to be having issues. In fact, their own website is down too. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. They're usually pretty good with getting things back up and running in a timely manner.
Maybe that is not time to ask about (too early), but how hard will be make warp3d drivers for all of your_in_progress_driver_cards ? Can we use just the same radeon warp3d driver, or we (hyperion or you ?) need to update the current one ?

The R100 and R200 Warp3D drivers won't work with R500+ cards. 3D drivers have to be written, which is going to take time.
