Don't have nothing to do with existing amigaone hw. Hope a new hw branded amigaone with sata2,usb2,fast ram,1,8ghz +++ maybe dual core. 64bits aos4.1

I don't know shit really. Hehe!

But

OM
ENIGMA
AEON
Could be AmigaOne OE.. Not sure what go believe.

But it would not make sence to take the old A1 references and improve them or fix the bugs. Make more sense to make some new hw and brand them Amigaone.

But need to be more,as porting to new hw is no map. They've done that before. So maybe mem protection? Maybe dual core? 64bit os? Who knows...

I see

I didn't mean that they use the old design, rather that they are now able to officially (after the case court) use the brand "AmigaOne"

Hmm, Multicore...

gimme

Yep,so i just found things i'd like to see on a new amiga. Also need pci-e x16 For gfx.

But there have to be some SW ambitius part of the puzzle too,a new ppc hw is not a MAP project. It must contain some more than just that. If it's not x86,but then it wouldn't be a new machine. Just a standard pc mobo. Thatswhen i thought of maybe some nice feauture like the big os'es have. dual core support or 64bit os would be really nice

But SMP (Multicore support) was already one of the mentioned (future) features...

I believe the MAP is just that, custom hardware (made available through a third party developer which works closely, if not "in-house" with the SW devs) together with a complete OS support especially optimized for that particular hardware (MacOS[X] anyone? - does the "X" ring a bell?)

SMP might be. But i don't see it being a mac machine. A new hw light you said, but each machine sold with a copy of aos4.1 is a must. Like for the sam.

STart saving up money for this new hw,so you can get it when it's new and hot

I will.

Nah, You don't understand me

I wasn't talking about a MAC per se, rather the way Apple did it.

Custom hardware, built only to run MacOS (in the first place)

Of course they switched to X86 now, but they could, because they were a force in the market.

A-EON going back the road to "copy" the classic line with custom hardware and an OS that runs on it and ONLY on it (at least OS4.x/5 maybe)

It's like taking the step back to the glory times but with the power of today

I already spent all my spare pennies plus sold some of my classic stuff to buy my Sam flex so all I want from Hyperion right now is a rock solid OS4.1 UPDATE and USB2.0..and of course Timberwolf from the twins

It's over a year since i got my sam. Was just about to buy me a flex. But since there's so much talk about new hw coming soon. I'll save ups ome more money, and wait to see what this is. Is it any good, then i'll buy one ASAP.

So should everyone else.

@Raziel

I don't think that they'll mind that at all. Since the screenshots had a message.

Could you please tell me what kind of board this is? It's not a (mini)ATX, is it?
What kind of box would one need to house such a beauty?

I' d like to see the price.. it would be interesting if it cost no more than 1000 euros.. more would be too expensive and today will be useless as we haven't a kernel that work with more than 2 gigabyte.. the pager has problems and amiga os is a32 bit operating system "almost done".. well let's see what it will be..

Yes, maybe these problems are already fixed and there is more behind the scenes, but still remain the fact that amiga os is stil a 32 bit system, with lots of gap and a machine like that is useless now... we have no software for this kind of hardware... btw let's see what's going on..

Err, did i miss something?
What tells you that the board is 64-bit architecture?
(Isn't 4 GB of RAM --> 4 slots ? 1 GB <-- the maximum a 32-bit system can take?)

Even if (and i'm completely guessing right now) the cpu will be a Titan then it's *still* 32-bit, isn't it?

But probably i'm missing some serious base knowledge (i'm not a tech guy)

edit: A little more insight into that Titan CPU

no one told me that it is a 64 bit architetture but i guess that if you put all these ram slots is not for only "4" gigabytes.. you can just put 2 ram slots and have the same amount of ram... so or it has a 64 bit cpu or there is some strange reasons behind my mind..

Edit : the max amount is 2 gigabyte, so all these slots are for more than 2 gigabyte.. so or it is a 64 bit architetture or there is something else..
