I didn't think I'd finish asychronous deficon loading today, but i did, so here's a new development archive.

http://openamiga.org/attachment/project/20/filer_53.29c.lha

Do note that the listbrowser gadget can behave quiet stubbornly while it is being updated with new icons. There's not much I can do about that unfortunately.

But that said, you can navigate a lot more faster even though loading a full directory can take a bit longer.

Hi @orgin
ref#19-user buttons

I installed Allgro_SDK using 'Filer' and drag&drop and it worked really nice. I like the internal command '$NEW'! I created a 'bookmark' with a user button called 'alegro'. Using $NEW to the allegros docs/htmls makes it handy to use! I remember when the A1 had no OS4, but Debian linux. The file manager I used then was the 'Conqueror'. I could bookmark documents quick and easy for later browsing. Filer is shaping into a nice file manager tool with a touch of Class (Action)!

However, I seem to have difficulties iniating a second drag and drop once I have drag/copped a file from a filer.

Set one filer to ram: the other to T: and selct reversed drag and drop

Drag usb.log from T: to ram: . it coppies fine

Now try again, can't get an drag icon to show.

I know this is a really minor matter, but could you add real icon support for devices. (It would be especially nice if "RAM:" would have not look just like the other devices.)

Thanks for constantly improving Filer!

Further testing shows the problem I described occurs just after you change the prefrences from "Drag Like Workbench" to "inverted drag" modes

A reboot clears it or seems to .

Have one more suggestion: Maybe add option , which will allow to ppls found by keyboard keys need t file or directory more effective:

I mean, for now, user can for example press button "v", and cursor will jumps on the first directory with name which begining on "v". Then, if user press any other button, filler do new search in it. Maybe you will in interest add an options, which will collect all the letters, while any other action is not happenes ? Like user press "v", then "i" and it's jump on directory or file starts on "vi" , and so on, up to maximum lengh of file/directory ?

It's just can be called like "search by one symbol" - on mean by one, off mean by many.

It will be good even if search from the "top", but it's also better when you search from "bottom". Like you have 30 directoryes which begining on "k", and you at bottom, but you need last directory of all those which begining from "k". As it now, you will brings on the first one, and you need scroll down to found exactly your one, but if add that option, you will just write "kwa" and you already will be at the directory which begining with "kwa".
