Tunenet or SRec problem ?

Just noticed interesting "bug".

Run tunenet, play somethinkg in it (does not matter what, mod or mp3 or radio).
Run SRec, choice record (any video/any formats) and choice record sound (pcm for now).

Press record in srec, all going ok, then press stop in srec. And player of tunenet broken the music and you will heard noice-terrible sound. But programms itself no crashes, so, you can just close tunenet and run it again. And it works fine and new music will plays fine.

So, for me it looks like 3 ways:

1. or SREC do something hardcore (and close everything for all the audio sub-system and somehow it's related to tunenet too).

2. or Tunenet use some too "softy" way to plays data.

3. or Audio settings of AHI or AHI units must be changed some how for make it works.

That not critical, but interesting ..

:) For me it's looks like some bad design of AHI api itself .. If one programm can make such problem for other one . Or lacking of memory protection ..

Hmmm, I can't reproduce that error here. It works - (I can even post a video with sound to proove it! lol .

However, I did have a problem on my A1XE doing duplex play/record just before the machine bit the dust. I was using some test programs I wrote and after recording I got some playback corruption (just like you mention). I could never work out why it occured, but didn't really have time to investigate.

I cannot reproduce this at all now on my SamFlex with either SRec or my test programs. (In fact now it's working as it should I guess I have no excuse but to implement the Mic plugin... ).

Not sure what to suggest next, what soundcard / HW platform do you have?

I have Peg2 with onboard audio.

So, you choice in srec PCM audio and whyle tunenet plays, you press record on SREc, then stop, and tunenet works as before with no problems ?

I can't say the quality of audio recorded is particularly good (I am using the "Mixer" as the input line), but it does work - honest

TuneNet is playing - check.

SRec -> 320 x 180 15 frames per second, Xvid 16:9. PCM 16-bit, Stereo, 44100, video to ram:test.avi

.. hit record.... move window.

... hit Stop... Video in ram check.. TuneNet still playing - check.

Yep, everything looks correct related to tests .. For me just after i press "stop" in SREC i have broken sound in tunenet..

The same "record/play" problem on a1 was with onboard audio ? In SAM you have music card or onboard too ? (trying to found senses beetwen)

Just using the onboard audio here.

I bought this as a complete system from AmigaKit last month and haven't even opened the case yet.

So the same .. Maybe some settings for "recording" are need to setup in AHI prefs ? Or maybe "mixer" need to setup somehow ..
