Hi All,
Yesterday all was ok.
Today I turn on my Amiga and I get this cli under the workbench :

Cli window title : RinghioServer
Content :
Quote:
Ringhio is a system-wide notification server for AmigaOS 4.1 NOLINE
NO LINE: Commande inconnue ( = Unknown command )
NOLINE : erreur code 10 ( = error code 10 )
NOTIFICATIONS is a preference editor for the Ringhio server NOLINE
NO LINE: Commande inconnue
NOLINE : erreur code 10
No description available NOLINE
NO LINE: Commande inconnue
NOLINE : erreur code 10
No description available NOLINE
NO LINE: Commande inconnue
NOLINE : erreur code 10
No description available NOLINE
NO LINE: Commande inconnue
NOLINE : erreur code 10

Does someone know why ?
I did change nothing in my setup.

EDIT : However, the notification system work ... but I have this window on startup ... strange ...

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

it is "on" per default.
Otherwise in PREFS, look for the WBSTARTUP program and check SYS:System/RinghoServer to see if it is turned on or not.

I think you'd be better off doing a clean install, and THEN copying-back/modifying anything you want.

In Prefs you have a new preferences program called "Notifications". It *is* the Ringhio preferences program, the third tab will tell you if Ringhio server is actually running.

Back to a quiet home... At last

It is "running" and work ( for example CodeBench 0.9se display message using Ringhio ... )
But I always get this message on startup of workbench.

Have you tried turning the "Splash Screen" off in Prefs?

Another idea would be to re-copy Ringhio from the Update CD and try again

The docs say:
Your application / script may comunicate with Ringhio via an AREXX interface instead of using IApplication->NotifyA()
...interface text...
Check the rx_testringhio.rexx script in the archive for a basic example on how register your app with Ringhio and then show pop-up msgs.

The Ringhio server was not started upon startup by default on my installation. I had to manually go to WBStartup prefs and add it to the list. Is it supposed to be like that or did something go wrong at some point in the installation?

I've fixed the popup problem...
I've opened notifications prefs, display boot option was disabled.
I decided to enable it, save, disable it, save
and now, I have no more popup on startup :)
