[solved] Stuck in "Shadow of Time" game, help needed

How to win on the "chewing-gum slot-machine" at the mall? Or if that's not possible how to get the lottery ticket from under the drain?

So far the only item on the shopping list I've managed to get is the batteries. I also have a bowling ball, a skipping rope, some old coins and other junk I don't know what to do with.

Also I cannot get anything from the store (newspaper and dog food) because of the old lady.

It seems I am hopelessly stuck.

I have a score of 25 for now. My question is : how to get this gun connected to the videogame ?

At 32 now and going up. All I needed to do was "Operate" and then "Examine" the TV twice. I'd only tried "Listen" with the TV on before...
