Frying Pan problem on OS4 [SOLVED]
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

See User information
I have downloaded lastest Frying Pan version (1.0a) installed with its script (yes to add Libs assign and default harmful devices definition)... but when i run it i got a visit from the GR about an ISI error (Instruction Storage Interrupt) RAMLIB: opening Optical. After that some programs like IBrowse don't even start.

PS: i have copied my optical.key into SYS:L/

Is the executable a 68k binary fill? If so try disabling JIT on it.

The RAMLIB thing is what tries to find and open a library or device, you might find out what library if you use snoopy.

have you actually made a reset after installing it?
the new assign (afaik) is only active after resetting.
i don't get such a crash.
be sure not to overwrite an old installation but to create a new directory instead.

byebye...

Look in Sys:libs for "expat2.library", if it is there, delete it.
You are having a clash with FryingPan:Libs/expat2.library.
Also look for old "optical" files lying around, and delete them.
This sorted my problems out.

Cheers,
Tim

Hmm, i havent tested enought yet, but yesterday
i was just running some test with it, and seems
like that "disk full gauge" is not rendered right.
It just quickly flashes there and then disappear.
but my saver is that "disk full in %" witch is rendered
into that gauge area....

And another is that when i'm creating directory tree,
i'm not able to remove from (not sure is it) NListTree,
so i have to browse from otherwindow to get dirs files removed?
Maybe its an function, but not sure tho...

You were right! After deleting expat2.library from Libs:, Frying Pan works
